Applications are invited for a Consultant that specialises in Acute Medicine to join a busy, innovative and friendly team at a Trust based in the beautiful countryside. The Emergency Admissions Unit is one of their newest wards; it has 30 beds and primarily cares for medical patients. The work of the team is integral to the successful achievement of the 4 hour ED wait performance which has been greater than 95% for the last two years. The post holder must have the following skills and attributes: * Ability to lead and develop the service * Ability to develop effective working relationships on an individual, multi-professional and team basis with all levels * Ability to communicate effectively * Understanding of clinical governance and the individual responsibilities it implies * Ability to establish good working relationships with other members of the multidisciplinary team * Flexible and adaptable to competing demands * Commitment to modern practices. Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice. Applicants must have entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview date), CESR or European Community Rights. For candidates who reside abroad you must have completed the necessary language test (IELTS / OET / NARIC) before applying.
